Great Meats Co is a boutique butcher owned and operated by seasoned chefs and restaurateurs sourcing top quality cuts without the big price tag, to supply to Australia's best restaurants, chefs and home cooks.
We trade and sell premium wagyu, dry aged cuts, artisan housemade sausages, free range pork and a range of pantry items wholesale and direct to public at excellent prices, thanks to our connections within the industry.
Our story
From humble beginnings, Great Meats Co began as a wholesale business in 2018, run by chef mates, Mitch Davis and Gavin Gray. The two leveraged their connections to source the best cuts of top quality meat for their own bistros and those of their hospitality friends.
During Covid lockdowns, they expanded to share top cuts with family and friends, setting up and online shop and home delivery, and later found a permanent home for the business in Leichhardt.
We continue to provide chefs and home cooks easy access to great value, top quality cuts, courtesy of the city’s best butchers.
Our shop
Great Meats Co's retail shop in Leichhardt has four decades of butchery history within its walls.
It's the former site of highly respected AC Butchery, a family-owned business run by locals Angela and Carlo for more than 35 years.
Today, you can pop in and pick up a cut from our extensive range of meats, as well as prepping and cooking tips from our butchers, and various goods, sauces and condiments.

We proudly work with some of the best restaurants in town, like Nomad, The Charles Brasserie, LouLou, Boronia Kitchen, Pilu at Freshwater, St Siandra, Matteo, Bopp & Tone and RAFI.
DELIVERY
We deliver free for online orders over $95, with next day delivery if you order by 2pm (not available Sundays). Want to order online but pick-up in store? We offer Click & Collect.

FAQs
Yes we do! Our minimum order is $75 with a cut off time of 2pm for next day delivery. Free delivery is available for orders over $95. We delivery every day except Sundays. Order before 2pm to receive next day delivery.
Sure can. We offer a "Click & Collect" service, where you can buy ahead of time and pick up your purchase at our Leichhardt shop, 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday.
